Frequently Asked Questions
The Epiphany Skin Analyzer uses UVA lights to highlight areas of your skin that may need your attention.
For the most accurate results, it's best to use your Epiphany in a darker environment. Bright lighting can wash out the glow, making it difficult to see your results clearly. A dimmer space will allow them to stand out more, giving you a better understanding of your skin’s unique needs.

UV light is naturally occurring in sunlight, helps our skin produce Vitamin D (which is essential to your health), and can help treat a variety of skin conditions and diseases. Contrary to popular narratives, UV light is inherently good for your skin and has an extensive list of benefits.
While it is true that UVA light can contribute to skin aging and skin damage with prolonged exposure, the levels used in the Epiphany Skin Analyzer are minimal (UVA's are the least intense form of UV radiation compared to UVB's and UVC's) and intended for brief, focused use. The risk is significantly lower than what you’d experience from prolonged sun exposure or tanning beds. Your skin’s health is our top priority! The benefits of occasional skin analysis incorporated into your skincare routine can outweigh the cost of using skincare products that you don't actually need or may be harmful to your body holistically. We recommend using the Epiphany with intention.
